BOARDING

Our boarding service is very special. We offer a truly unique home from home boarding experience with our guests living with us as part of the family - we are not a boarding kennels.

We are able to accommodate dogs of all shapes, sizes and ages.

Our guests can truly relax and enjoy their stay at House of Barks safe in the knowledge that we will welcome them into our home and tailor their stay to meet their individual needs.

We have no cages or kennels just comfy dog friendly sofas, lots of comfy dog beds, evenings snoozing in front of one of the wood burning stoves and an acre of secure dog friendly garden to play in and explore.

We run this business with love whilst being truly passionate about providing a unique personal service for each and every guest.  This along with our desire to ensure that every dog that stays at House of Barks has a truly wonderful experience, creates a little piece of Doggy Paradise!

No cages, no kennels and no restrictions.

Boarding Explained

On check in, all boarding guests are provided with a high visibility dog collar which is worn for the duration of their stay with us.  These collars are embroidered with House of Barks contact details

Each guest can access all areas of our home and therefore get to choose where they snooze and where they ‘hang out’ whilst staying at House of Barks

We provide regular reassuring updates to owners via social media, photos and videos

House of Barks is licensed by the Borough Council of Kings Lynn and West Norfolk, a copy of which is on display at our premises and we are fully insured by Pet Plan Sanctuary. In addition to this, Jane is fully qualified in Canine First Aid and will administer any medications as required

We provide a collection and drop off service should you be pushed for time

All guests staying at House of Barks are required to be fully vaccinated.  An up to date vaccination card or confirmation email from your vet will be checked on arrival

All of our guests live with us in our home - we are not a boarding kennels

Walks for our guests are well planned and vary according to each individual dog's needs. We walk in open countryside, local woodlands and on the fabulous sandy beaches along the North Norfolk coast.  Walks can be on or off the lead and we only walk dogs off the lead with your written consent.  Dogs will only be let off the lead in a safe environment and when we are 100% comfortable with their recall. All walks will be age/health appropriate

At House of Barks we bake all our own homemade dog treats which are both healthy and nutritious

Before check out guests are able to enjoy a lovely bath using 100% natural & organic products. If our guest would prefer us to use a medical or specific shampoo, we kindly request that you bring this with you.  Please note - there is an additional charge for this service
